The flying cab that Gideon goes to work in. A cartoony feel, that works alright, although hardly realistic. | Josef tries to buy a pack of cigarettes, unaware of a brand new law that makes tobacco illegal. | Herr Rosenkvist awakes from a short death. |
Gideon gets some help with the remote control for the giant TV screen. The screen is an ordinary whiteboard onto which we "pasted" different video clips. | Josef, having found a cigarette, realizes that others share his desperate need for nicotine. | Herr Rosenkvist hitches a ride with a party of three unlikely friends. The most classic of "special effects", the dissolve, has been utilized. |
The shot we're the most proud of, a tracking shot dissolving into another tracking shot, making some cool compositing possible. | Vincent and Frank are having an argument about Lina. A pretty tricky - and at times rather jumpy - tracking shot. | As Melitta goes to find some gas for the car, a strange, home-made mist suddenly surrounds her. The mist was created by David, who plays Glenn in the film. |
Gideon's first look at the world his brand new technology has made possible. This scene was composited in real-time, so the actors knew "where they were". | For some reason, the bus driver pays no attention to Tom Nemo. Thanks to the cooperation of a friendly bus driver, we didn't have to rent a bus for this shot. | Something is out to get Håvard. One of many scenes inspired by The Evil Dead. |
One possible aspect of virtual fighting is fencing with wooden, but metallic-sounding, swords. | A bad day turns worse as the automatic doors ignore Tom. Can you spot the trickery at the end of the shot? | The untimely demise of Melitta, while the boys wait in a cabin. |
And while Gideon and Gabriel fight för their lives, the members of the board watch. | Tom is outraged by the fact that someone else has got his modeling job, and that noone notices him. | Håvard falls into a trapdoor and needs some light. A favorite scene of mine, with its simple slapstick comedy. |
In a world that can change at a slight remark, you'd better watch what you say.. | Lina realizes that something is very wrong, since their argument is about her disappearance.. | Håvard gets some advice from himself. Split-screen at its simplest. |
A game of chess with high stakes. For every piece lost, the rotating knives get closer. | Government official Sebastian tries to make conversation with the strange Aranea. | Håvard gets very angry with Herr Rosenkvist, who knows all the answers in the gameshow. |
A pretty big spider. A simple example of how we let the actors "interact" with 3D-rendered material. | ||
Gottlib tries the machine, creating the world of his dreams. Only the chair and table in this room are "real". Besides Gottlieb, of course. |
